Indirect Buyer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States. The role involves access to ITAR-controlled information and requires a U.S. person or eligibility for a federally issued export control license.

Salary: $65,000–$100,000 per year, plus company equity.

What you will do

• Source and manage suppliers across IT, facilities, travel, consulting, capital equipment, MRO/tooling, and other indirect categories.
• Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP sourcing events and negotiate supplier costs and contracts.
• Manage purchase orders, invoice resolution, supplier onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing supplier relationships.
• Plan inventory replenishment and support forecasting and master planning for indirect spend.
• Partner with engineering, production, facilities, and finance to define requirements and align procurement strategy.
• Develop analytics and dashboards to track spend, savings, and supplier performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, supply chain or operations management, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of indirect procurement experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, operations, or technology environment.
• Working knowledge of strategic sourcing, contracting, and negotiation.
• Experience interpreting technical specifications and equipment documentation, with a strong understanding of inventory management.
• At least 1 year of experience with SQL or other information-processing software tools.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of technical procurement experience.
• Experience supporting high-growth manufacturing organizations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
• Experience implementing AS9100 or completing AS9100 audits.
