Staff Product Designer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid in New York, San Francisco, or Salt Lake City, with on-site expectations of 2–3 days per week. Candidates outside these areas may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD annually in the NYC/Bay Area market; $170,000–$212,000 USD annually in the Salt Lake City market. Pay is adjusted by geographic market.

What you will do

• Shape the vision, strategy, and end-to-end execution for the B2B Property Hub product.
• Align multiple product, engineering, analytics, operations, and partnerships teams around a cohesive experience.
• Design web application workflows for property managers, including financial operations, reconciliation, reporting, errors, pending states, and recovery flows.
• Conduct research with leasing offices and property teams to understand existing systems, workarounds, and customer needs.
• Build prototypes, define experiments and pilots, and use qualitative research and quantitative data to guide priorities.
• Evolve the Ultraviolet design system and establish design-thinking and AI-assisted workflows across the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and shipping products, including business-facing or professional tools.
• Strong web application design experience with dense data views, reporting, and multi-step operational workflows.
• Experience aligning several teams around shared experiences and designing multi-user, multi-role workflows.
• Fluency in experimentation, quantitative reasoning, funnel and cohort data, and designing for tests and pilots.
• Expert-level Figma skills, experience using AI tools for sketching and prototyping, and a portfolio of shipped work.
• Experience setting quality standards, mentoring designers, documenting design rationale, and working through ambiguous problems and technical or regulatory constraints.

Nice to have

• Fintech or regulated-environment experience, including disclosures or money movement flows.
• Proptech or experience with property management, accounting, or back-office systems.
• Experience designing embedded or white-labeled products.
• Experience establishing design operations, toolkits, rituals, or AI-assisted workflows.
