Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work with 2 days per week in the SF office. Candidates must live within a commutable distance.

Salary: $200,000–$225,000 base salary per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Partner with Product and Engineering to refine problems, explore solutions, and deliver designs balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Own the end-to-end product design process from discovery through launch.
• Turn dense or ambiguous business data into clear, trustworthy customer experiences.
• Use storytelling to explain complex business identity, compliance, and risk concepts.
• Shape and evolve the design system and visual language across products, with attention to consistency, accessibility, and craft.

Requirements

• 8+ years of in-house product design experience delivering impactful B2B products.
• Experience designing platforms that work with business or consumer data, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Ability to frame problems, scope work, and drive product decisions with Product Management partners.
• Strong understanding of complex data representation and experience bridging user experience with API-driven systems, SDK configuration, setup flows, or technical onboarding.
• Deep familiarity with LLM-powered development tools such as Claude Code or Codex, and ability to build end-to-end prototypes with little or no engineering support.
• Strong communication skills, initiative, and proficiency with prototyping tools and shared design systems.
