Technical Trainer (Municipal Water)

Location: Kansas City, KS, United States; full-time work at this location with overnight travel across the United States 60–70%

Salary: $82,300–$152,800 annual base pay, with potential eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Deliver hands-on technical training for municipal water and wastewater products, technologies, applications, and portfolios.
• Develop and facilitate training for internal teams, sales, engineering, service, distribution partners, contractors, operators, engineers, and municipal customers.
• Translate complex technical concepts into practical learning focused on product application, installation, troubleshooting, service, maintenance, and customer support.
• Create and maintain training materials, job aids, presentations, demonstrations, and classroom, laboratory, and field-based training experiences.
• Manage communications with channel partners to support alignment, engagement, performance visibility, and execution of channel priorities.
• Conduct field visits, support product and customer issues, and gather feedback to improve training and the customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, leadership and development, or a related field preferred, or four years of instructing experience.
• Technical aptitude with municipal water and wastewater products, pumps, rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, or related industrial equipment.
• Ability to understand product specifications, application requirements, installation considerations, troubleshooting needs, and service practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with public speaking or large-audience customer presentations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; availability for a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
