MPS New Product Introduction Instructor (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Home / Mobile in the Bay Area, California or Portland, Oregon; domestic and international travel required, up to 35% per year. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $84,000–$115,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop and deliver specialized New Product Introduction technical training in classrooms, laboratories, live distance learning, and hands-on settings.
• Learn new semiconductor tools and chambers across mechanical, electrical, software, process, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting domains.
• Create course curricula, student guides, procedures, documentation, and supporting technologies with Instructional Designers and technical organizations.
• Coordinate factory on-the-job training, certifications, course approvals, and instructor transitions when products enter volume production.
• Support engineering, manufacturing, product development, Global Product Support, and field teams during first builds, testing, ECO reviews, and product updates.
• Coach less senior instructors, manage projects, resolve customer issues, and identify future technical training opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience, plus 4 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience.
• Without a bachelor’s degree, 6 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience is required.
• Experience with installation, programming, safety, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor machinery and related systems.
• Strong technical training, presentation, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of semiconductor equipment operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, alignments, calibrations, and analog/digital system troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work during off-shift hours or weekends when assigned.

Nice to have

• Formal or informal experience in education, performance-based training, or external customer training delivery.
• Instructional design certification or experience in curriculum development.
• Experience with hirify.global or Applied MPS equipment.
• Experience with e-learning, videography, photography, AR, VR, or CGI technologies.
