Field Maintenance Trainer (Industrial Automation)

Location: USA remote with 80% domestic travel to customer sites

Salary: $87,000–$119,900 base annual pay, plus medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do

• Deliver classroom and hands-on technical training for hirify.global and client maintenance personnel.
• Train technicians to operate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot automated adapters, vertical lifts, robotic fleets, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control systems.
• Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to design training content and identify technical skill gaps.
• Improve training materials, delivery methods, technical documentation, troubleshooting efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Act as an escalation point for technical and customer-related training issues while supporting field maintenance operations when required.
• Travel to customer sites for system launches, technician development, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of technical training, coaching, or instructional experience in industrial or automation environments.
• At least 2 years of industrial controls, automation, or robotics experience.
• Strong PLC, robotics, controls, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience with schematics, multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with DDC systems or industrial robotics platforms such as ABB or FANUC, plus Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, and FactoryTalk View.
• Must be able to travel domestically 80%, drive and/or fly to customer locations, work at heights and in confined spaces, stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Experience working within centralized learning or training governance models.
• Experience developing and delivering live and online training content.
