Assistant Unit Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington Heights, Illinois, or Portland, Oregon

Salary: $108,900–$134,050 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Support accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, and global financial processes for the business unit.
• Own periodic management reporting, standardize reporting metrics, and deliver monthly reporting according to the corporate close schedule.
• Lead the financial close process and prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Analyze manufacturing and cost performance, balance sheet and P&L trends, cash flow, and deviations from prior-year results and plan.
• Manage business-unit financial audits, internal and external audit requirements, and quarterly SOX control reviews.
• Support order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, make-to-order, payroll, strategic planning, process improvement, and technology adoption initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Accounting or finance leadership experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
• University graduation or a professional certification; CPA is preferred.
• Experience with intercompany trading is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex financial analysis and reporting evaluation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, staff-management, and talent-development skills.
