Senior Quality Inspector

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States

Salary: $25.50–$34.00 per hour

Provides state-of-the-art electronic assemblies, systems, and software for US military and industrial applications, including Navy propulsion and monitoring systems.

What you will do

• Inspect cables, harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and complex electronic equipment against IPC standards and manufacturing instructions.
• Perform incoming inspections of electromechanical parts using engineering drawings and military standards.
• Conduct dimensional inspections of raw materials using calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and related measurement tools.
• Interpret manufacturing, quality inspection, assembly, detail, and parts-list drawings independently.
• Generate product verification documentation according to departmental procedures.
• Apply AQL sampling plans and established quality-control practices.

Requirements

• Knowledge of IPC-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship standards.
• Experience with wiring and soldering of electromechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing work instructions.
• Proficiency with PC-based tools, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
• The role may involve access to export-controlled information and additional security screening.
