Connected Services Feature Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Remote in Mexico; work modality may be remote, hybrid, or onsite depending on project needs and personal preferences. Offices are available in Aguascalientes, Mexico City, and Guadalajara.

What you will do

• Own and maintain the functional objective and core feature owner libraries for connected vehicle services.
• Create and own end-to-end test plans, procedures, and validation activities.
• Support vehicle integration, validation, testing, and issue triage with platform and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Define functional and dysfunctional behavior and perform HARA risk analysis.
• Lead benchmarking activities across FOTA, vehicle access and start, vehicle security, remote operations, regulatory and safety, and connected EV domains.
• Support technology clubs and ride-and-drive events as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 3 years of vehicle integration and validation experience, or equivalent; candidates with strong ADAS, connectivity, or telematics performance expertise may be considered with less experience.
• Strong understanding of operational architecture, use-case definition, and vehicle and software life cycles.
• Experience with vehicle connectivity design and/or testing.
• Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation, process validation, DVPR, and test planning.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership, interpersonal, presentation, and independent delivery skills.

Nice to have

• Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from an ABET-accredited university.
• Experience in feature design, system design, or integration.
• DFSS Green Belt certification.
