Transportation & Logistics Engineer (Wind Power)

Location: Hybrid role in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico; requires travel up to 40% within the United States and Canada.

What you will do

• Develop and validate transportation solutions for heavy-lift and oversized wind turbine components across new-build, service, aftermarket, and corrective projects.
• Review and approve method statements, lashing plans, lift plans, rigging plans, trailer configurations, and RORO operations.
• Perform axle-load, load-distribution, center-of-gravity, stability, and transport-feasibility calculations.
• Support route surveys, site assessments, trial runs, permitting activities, and identification of infrastructure improvements.
• Review civil engineering and construction plans for access roads, laydown areas, and logistics infrastructure.
• Prepare transportation engineering drawings and analyses and coordinate with Logistics, EHS, carriers, customers, port operators, and warehouse providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• At least 8 years of experience in transportation engineering, heavy-haul logistics, route analysis, or a related field.
• Experience with route surveys, permitting, transportation planning, and oversized cargo operations; wind power logistics experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoTURN, GIS applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Advanced English proficiency is required for communication with North American customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of structural, civil, and transportation engineering principles, including load and stability calculations; travel within the United States and Canada may reach 40%.
