Robotics Engineer: Applications (Physical AI)

Location: Remote in Mexico, with customer-site work in Tijuana and Mexicali, travel up to 75% of the time, and working hours aligned with customer manufacturing production hours. Authorization to work in Mexico must be maintained throughout employment.

Salary: MX$30,000–MX$60,000 per month, plus bonus.

What you will do

• Lead work-cell unboxing, setup, testing, and customer training during system delivery.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain control components such as proximity sensors, relays, and vacuum ejectors.
• Triage and resolve technical issues across software, hardware, sensors, and tooling, escalating with clear root-cause analysis when needed.
• Support customers through email, calls, and on-site service visits, while identifying opportunities to expand impact within accounts.
• Collaborate with Robotics Software, Hardware, and Product teams on deployments and provide structured product feedback.
• Use AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, debugging, data analysis, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry experience with hands-on hardware and software skills, preferably in manufacturing automation or a similar field.
• Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and remote support tools.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently, manage multiple tasks, respond to emergencies, and communicate complex information clearly.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in Tijuana and Mexicali up to 75% of the time.
• Valid ongoing authorization to work in Mexico.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with industrial facilities and equipment.
• Basic experience with ROS, Python, or C++.
• Experience troubleshooting cyber-physical or hardware systems remotely.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design or experience using AI tools to automate engineering workflows.
