Category Manager Med/Surg (Anesthesia)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States. Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office; willingness to travel is required.

Estimated annual salary: $77,400–$135,400, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage a high-complexity portfolio of medical and surgical agreements.
• Conduct product, market, and category assessments.
• Develop contracting strategies for healthcare members, supply networks, academic medical centers, and other customers.
• Lead competitive bids and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Implement new program offerings while monitoring healthcare industry trends, market dynamics, and technology.
• Build relationships with members, suppliers, and alliances while managing market volatility and supply disruptions; co-chair the Respiratory, Critical Care, and Anesthesia council.

Requirements

• Two or more years of relevant experience; healthcare and supply chain operations experience is preferred.
• Relevant degree preferred.
• Experience with RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management is strongly preferred.
• Financial acumen, including experience with expense and revenue budgets.
• Strong written communication, verbal presentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office and Outlook skills; must be based in Irving, Texas for the hybrid office schedule.
