Product Security Engineer III (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, plus bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Assess CrowdStrike's hybrid network security across AWS, GCP, Azure, and physical data centers to identify attack surfaces and control gaps.
• Design secure network connection patterns, zone segmentation strategies, and scalable architectural patterns for product and platform services.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions for network security risks in a dynamic cloud environment.
• Lead threat modeling for secure architecture, data flows, and connectivity patterns.
• Set strategic direction for network and cloud infrastructure security and communicate decisions through design documents, technical talks, and wikis.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams while mentoring junior individual contributors and interns.

Requirements

• Deep networking expertise across hybrid environments, including routing, segmentation, zone design, and traffic inspection.
• Strong cloud security knowledge and experience identifying gaps in hybrid-cloud controls.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, TLS, and applied cryptography.
• Experience building scalable monitoring, alerting, and automation for network security use cases.
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, shell, or equivalent languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent field, along with strong communication and independent problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP security controls and IaaS/PaaS networking constructs such as VPCs, transit gateways, private endpoints, and service meshes.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust network architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline security, compliance evidence collection, AI-enabled solutions, or formal mentorship.
