Security Software Engineer (AI and Automation)

Salary: US$127,000–US$207,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and build multi-agent LLM systems that automate threat modeling, security design reviews, policy Q&A, and vulnerability analysis.
• Develop RAG pipelines, semantic search systems, and scalable data-processing pipelines for code and documentation repositories.
• Create automated code-review capabilities and improve the secure software development lifecycle through developer-friendly tooling.
• Build REST APIs and platform services with authentication, authorization, rate limiting, observability, and secure data handling.
• Integrate security guidance with GitHub, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and cloud platforms.
• Lead high-priority initiatives, support incident response and on-call needs, and advise stakeholders on secure AI adoption.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering or security engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Go for production backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Experience with REST APIs, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, streaming, observability, distributed systems, and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of application security, vulnerability classes, threat modeling, and SSDLC practices.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, multi-agent architectures, semantic search, and AI-specific security risks such as prompt injection and sensitive data exposure.
• Experience with AWS, message queues, NoSQL databases, containers, Kubernetes or ECS, serverless systems, infrastructure as code, Redis, caching, and performance patterns.
