Software Engineering Manager (Banking Applications)

Location: On-site at an IT hub in Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Birmingham, Cleveland, or Pittsburgh, United States. After-hours, weekend, and holiday availability may be required for incident response and on-call leadership.

Base salary: $110,100–$204,490 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage enterprise payment applications, integrations, development projects, and application support functions.
• Lead geographically distributed teams supporting critical systems through a global 24x7 operation.
• Oversee application releases, change management, production implementations, and disaster recovery testing.
• Establish monitoring, observability, proactive issue detection, and automation capabilities.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, payment operations, vendors, payment networks, and clearing organizations.
• Communicate application health, risks, incidents, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

Requirements

• University or college degree, typically a bachelor’s degree, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, UNIX/Linux, Oracle SQL, DB2, IBM MQ, NDM/Connect:Direct, SOAP/REST APIs, CA7, Elasticsearch, and Oracle Analytics.
• Experience with Java-based microservices, OpenShift, MongoDB, Kafka, monitoring, alerting, log analysis, observability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management, application delivery, Agile development, system testing, and software process improvement.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
