Splunk Engineering Manager (Splunk)

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 annual base salary plus annual performance bonus

What you will do

• Lead the global team delivering automation for application production support.
• Define the vision and strategy for automation initiatives, including performance and preventive monitoring.
• Design, optimize, and manage the centralized Splunk logging and observability platform.
• Integrate monitoring tools and expand applications supporting escalation contacts and server-to-software relationships.
• Engineer end-to-end data ingestion pipelines, including onboarding, parsing, CIM normalization, correlation rules, and Splunk ITSI integration.
• Collaborate with technology leaders, establish standards, mentor staff, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of directly related experience, including 3+ years as a technical lead or manager.
• 5+ years of experience as a software architect or engineer.
• Experience with scripting technologies and knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux.
• Experience with Splunk 9.x or 10.x and strong communication skills for influencing senior technology leaders.

Nice to have

• Splunk Admin, Architect, or Architect II Certification or higher.
• Splunk ITSI and/or Enterprise Security administration experience and certification.
