What you will do

• Lead the Lending engineering team in delivering a new product from the ground up.
• Partner with product management and design to understand business needs, growth objectives, and market dynamics.
• Build a culture of innovation, technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Improve engineering processes, automation, tools, and methodologies to increase operational efficiency and quality.
• Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics while holding team members accountable for delivery.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager in a high-performing engineering organization.
• 8+ years of experience in software development and delivery, including ownership of highly visible, large-scale technical scope.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and experience building and managing large-scale applications in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Technical familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication, ownership, resilience, assurance, and creative problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing platforms in fintech, banking, or trading.
• Experience working with complex data and creating data visualizations.
