Manager, Software Engineering (App Experiences)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base pay: $230,000–$290,000 per year in CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $204,000–$264,000 per year in all other U.S. states.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a balanced team of software engineers through clear expectations, feedback, and career development.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for consumer experience initiatives, redesigns, and structural improvements.
• Guide architecture, design, quality, and cross-functional alignment while empowering technical leads and senior engineers.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems, including on-call, incident response, and operational toil reduction.
• Drive alignment across partner experience, foundational, product, design, analytics, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing and growing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing software and leading significant technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Technical judgment across architecture, quality, reliability, and modern full-stack development.
• Familiarity with React or React Native and backend-for-frontend systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational influence skills.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
