Software Engineering Manager Senior- Capital Markets and Fixed Income (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and develop software engineering teams supporting fixed income technology platforms.
• Drive technology strategy, roadmaps, modernization, automation, DevSecOps adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with traders, sales, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions.
• Oversee platforms supporting trade capture, order management, allocation, inventory and position management, securities financing, settlement, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead architecture and integrations across internal systems, market-data providers, trading venues, and vendor platforms.
• Strengthen operational resilience, risk controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years in a people leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of fixed income broker-dealer business processes, technology platforms, and the trade lifecycle through clearance and settlement.
• Experience with corporate bonds, municipals, Treasuries, agencies, and repo markets.
• Experience partnering with front-office, operations, risk, and compliance organizations.
• Employment visas are not sponsored, and STEM OPT participation is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in a large financial institution, broker dealer, or capital-markets organization.
• Experience with electronic fixed income trading platforms.
• Java, C#, Python, SQL, APIs, microservices, Oracle, SQL Server, Kafka, MQ, cloud platforms, CI/CD, GitHub, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Broadridge/Shadow, MarketAxess, Tradeweb, Murex, or similar platforms.
• Advanced degree or industry certifications.
