Quantitative Software Engineer Lead (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; 5 days a week in the NYC HQ

Base salary: $225,000–$375,000 per year; competitive initial equity package with refreshers

hirify.global is building a commodity risk management platform for the physical economy, combining real-time market data, AI-powered exposure modeling, and automated trade generation.

What you will do

• Architect and develop trading infrastructure as the platform scales into new markets and supports additional customers.
• Build and optimize low-latency, event-driven distributed systems for execution and pricing.
• Own critical systems end to end, including market data ingestion, order execution, and risk monitoring.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers while shaping engineering culture.
• Collaborate directly with the founders to solve complex financial technology problems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and core systems fundamentals.
• Extensive experience architecting and building complex financial systems.
• Experience building and scaling low-latency, event-driven distributed systems.
• Strong ownership, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Golang, Python, C++, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS.
• Experience building trading systems.
• Experience with derivatives, crypto, equities, or other financial products.
