Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (App Experience) (React)

Location: Remote Canada, open only to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan

Base pay: 153,000–213,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, lead engineers through ambiguous and open-ended problems, and support delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
• Coordinate and implement major product features from Figma or product requirements across frontend surfaces.
• Migrate and modernize web code, design systems, and frontend architecture using reusable codemods, AI agent skills, and tools.
• Support artifact availability through metrics, monitoring, escalation, on-call, and operational maintenance.
• Improve code review and design standards, share technical knowledge, and develop engineering talent through feedback and guidance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience working across multiple teams and driving horizontal initiatives with demonstrated leadership.
• Experience defining technical and execution plans for major features or system components, including deprecating existing functionality.
• Ability to make significant changes safely in large codebases using appropriate tools and practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
