Senior Front-End Developer (Next.js/React)

Location: Remote, for candidates based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada.

Salary: CAD 125,715–170,085 annual base salary, with a midpoint of CAD 147,900.

What you will do

• Build and ship production features for gethirify.global.com using Next.js, Sanity, React, and TypeScript.
• Extend the shared component library and design system with reusable, well-tested foundations.
• Own web performance, Core Web Vitals, semantic markup, accessibility, and resilient page loading.
• Work across the stack with the headless CMS, APIs, and services that power the content-driven site.
• Build and ship A/B and multivariate experiments, improve experimentation velocity, and support SEO, LLM, and AI-search initiatives.
• Set technical patterns and standards, mentor front-end developers, collaborate with Product engineers and the Engineering Manager, and improve tooling, documentation, and architecture.

Requirements

• Deep front-end expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, accessibility, and web performance, with several years of production application development.
• Strong experience building and maintaining real applications with Next.js and React, including modern rendering, component architecture, and tooling.
• Comfort building and integrating APIs and services and reasoning about systems beyond the front end; full-stack experience is highly preferred.
• Required experience with a headless CMS, including modeling, integrating, and shipping content-driven sites at scale.
• Hands-on, day-to-day use of AI coding tools and agents, with a responsible perspective on their strengths, limitations, output quality, and reliability.
• Experience building for measurement and iteration, with attention to the business outcomes driven by the code.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, set standards, mentor others, communicate with technical and non-technical partners, and collaborate with designers, marketers, PMs, and CRO.
• Ability to adapt to ambiguity and changing priorities, challenge the status quo constructively, and break complex problems into shippable pieces.

Nice to have

• Experience with client-side and feature-flag experimentation platforms such as Optimizely, Kameleoon, or Adobe Target, and analytics tools such as Amplitude or GA360.
• Experience working within a design system or maintaining a shared component library.
• Experience collaborating with product engineering teams across shared systems.
• Experience collaborating closely with designers in Figma.
