Senior Web Developer (Next.js)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada

What you will do

• Lead complex web projects from technical planning and scope definition through launch, measurement, and iteration.
• Define front-end architecture covering server/client boundaries, caching, revalidation, CDN behavior, scalability, and maintainability.
• Improve website performance, accessibility, security, and technical SEO, including Core Web Vitals, structured data, metadata, and semantic markup.
• Build headless CMS integrations, scalable content models, analytics, event tracking, attribution, feature flags, A/B testing, and marketing or CRM integrations.
• Develop AI workflows and agents for code reviews, performance monitoring, and design-to-component generation with appropriate quality guardrails.
• Partner with Marketing, Design, Product, and external agencies while mentoring developers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of front-end development experience and the ability to deliver independently.
• Strong React, Next.js, Node, and TypeScript skills, including strict type checking in CI.
• Experience with modern front-end architecture, server/client boundaries, caching, revalidation, CDN behavior, and scalable systems.
• Proficiency with Tailwind, design systems, reusable components, and headless CMS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of web performance, accessibility, and technical SEO, including Core Web Vitals, WCAG 2.1 AA, semantic HTML, metadata, structured data, sitemaps, and heading hierarchy.
• Strong project management, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Contentful, GraphQL, Segment, GTM, Statsig, HubSpot, AWS Amplify Hosting, Playwright, GSAP, Framer Motion, or SCSS.
• Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS or fintech environment.
