Senior Frontend Engineer (Growth)

Location: San Francisco, US; work from the San Francisco office three days a week

Salary: $158K–$225K annual base pay, plus potential equity and bonus

What you will do

• Build scalable, high-performance websites, landing pages, growth funnels, campaign management platforms, and personalized customer journeys with React and TypeScript.
• Develop AI-native interfaces and workflows for AI-powered insights, automation, intelligent decision-making, and agentic user experiences.
• Own frontend applications and components end to end, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization.
• Improve web performance, SEO, accessibility, experimentation, feature flagging, analytics, and conversion outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Data Science, and Backend Engineering to solve ambiguous business problems.
• Improve frontend engineering quality through reusable component systems, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience building and operating production web applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern frontend development practices.
• Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, component design, state management, API integration, responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
• Ability to independently design and deliver complex frontend solutions while making sound technical tradeoffs.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with growth platforms, campaign management systems, content management systems, experimentation frameworks, or conversion funnels.
• Experience developing AI-powered applications, streaming interfaces, human-in-the-loop workflows, or agentic user experiences.
• Experience with A/B testing, feature flagging, analytics instrumentation, conversion optimization, Next.js, server-side rendering, static generation, and design systems.
• Experience in high-growth technology companies, fintech, payments, or regulated environments.
