Machinist, Staff (CNC)

Location: Shelby, North Carolina, United States; onsite second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM or third shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Salary: $21.00–$30.33 per hour, plus a 7% second-shift premium or 10% third-shift premium.

Actuation Division designs, manufactures, and supports electromechanical actuation products and systems for aerospace, defense, and industrial automation applications.

What you will do

• Manufacture and inspect precision parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, process sheets, and verbal instructions.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores, and other machining equipment.
• Perform tool adjustments, mathematical and geometric calculations, and quality checks against specified tolerances.
• Prove out CNC programs when required and communicate with engineers about part assemblies.
• Identify and repair minor equipment malfunctions while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the work area.
• Availability for second-shift or third-shift onsite work in Shelby, NC.
