Company

hirify.global is an end-to-end space company developing rockets, spacecraft, avionics, robotic systems, and other critical subsystems for exploration, satellite servicing, and national security missions.

What you will do

  • Own electrical hardware for robotics and motor-control applications from requirements definition through design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production.
  • Drive electrical architecture decisions for control algorithms involving FPGA and microcontroller systems.
  • Develop PCBA requirements and perform design verification and system integration testing with engineers from other disciplines.
  • Design schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
  • Lead environmental testing, including EMI/EMC, TVAC, shock, and vibration testing.
  • Support manufacturing, failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and mentorship of support engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of electrical hardware design experience for Senior Engineer I or 8+ years for Senior Engineer II.
  • Experience designing PCBAs with FPGAs and working with motor-control applications and analog signal chains.
  • Proficiency with SPICE-based circuit analysis, board bring-up, and debugging.
  • Ability to develop electrical design concepts from a blank sheet of paper.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. office work is also subject to ITAR eligibility and authorization requirements.

Nice to have

  • FPGA firmware development with Verilog, including creating IP from scratch, and experience with Field-Oriented Control.
  • Experience with switch-mode power supplies, rigid-flex PCBs, electromechanical design, and Simulink.
  • Experience designing electronics for space environments, including radiation effects and SEU/SEL mitigation.
  • Experience with environmental testing, EMI/EMC testing, PCBA verification and validation, FMEA, and parametric or worst-case analysis.
  • Experience with Librero and Altium Designer schematic capture and layout.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on flight-proven robotics and space systems supporting lunar, planetary, satellite-servicing, and national-security missions.
  • Company stock is included in the total compensation package.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program with a 15% discount.
  • Medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability, and life insurance benefits, plus a 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and parental leave.
  • Additional perks include subsidized EV charging, fitness benefits, snacks and beverages, and employee discounts.
