Salary: $212,200–$312,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

Company

hirify.global Labs is hirify.global’s innovation hub, developing automation and robotics technologies for last-mile logistics, including drone delivery.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end PCB layout in Altium Designer, from floorplanning and component placement through routing, fabrication, assembly release, and board bring-up.
  • Design dense, multilayer, controlled-impedance boards integrating power and motor drive, RF communications, and high-speed digital circuits.
  • Optimize layouts for airborne size, weight, thermal, signal-integrity, and power-integrity constraints.
  • Produce complete fabrication and assembly packages, including stackups, drawings, and Gerber or ODB++ outputs.
  • Apply EMI/EMC-aware grounding strategies and maintain component footprints, libraries, and layout standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, power, reliability, and manufacturing engineers during debug, rework, and production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on PCB layout experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on PCB layout experience with a portfolio of complex, shipped multilayer boards.
  • Expert proficiency in Altium Designer and experience owning layout from placement and routing through fabrication and assembly release.
  • Strong knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, controlled impedance, return paths, decoupling, stackups, and plane design.
  • Experience with mixed-signal layouts spanning power, RF, and high-speed digital domains.
  • Working knowledge of DFM, DFA, and IPC standards, plus the ability to work independently as the sole layout owner.

Nice to have

  • Experience with drone/UAV, aerospace, robotics, or EV hardware.
  • Rigid-flex or flex PCB layout experience for weight- and space-constrained designs.
  • RF and antenna layout, high-current power, ESC, or motor-drive layout experience.
  • ECAD/MCAD co-design using Altium with SolidWorks or Creo.
  • Experience with high-reliability or harsh-environment designs and establishing layout processes in an early-stage hardware organization.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on a small, highly senior hardware team with high ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comprehensive benefits for regular employees, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and basic life insurance.
  • 401(k) with employer matching, paid parental leave, paid time off, paid sick leave, and 11 paid holidays.
  • Wellness, commuter, family-forming assistance, and mental health benefits.
  • Salary is localized by work location and may include equity grants.
