Senior Controls Technician - Special Projects (HVAC)

Location: San Antonio, Texas; field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations.

Salary: $33.84–$51.49 per hour

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics, establish communications links, perform end-to-end testing, troubleshoot, and service assigned building automation projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact, diagnosing and repairing equipment and control systems at customer locations.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on site requirements, building layouts, materials, installation, and repairs.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane and Niagara products, including installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Follow safety standards, maintain company assets, and work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school.
• At least 7 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Hands-on Niagara Framework experience in commissioning, programming, graphics setup, integration, troubleshooting, and service.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with an acceptable driving record and no major or frequent violations.
• Previous DDC controls system experience is preferred.
