What you will do
- Build and maintain high-fidelity system models in Spacetime for dynamic wireless communication networks.
- Design and write production-ready adapter layers, primarily in Python or Go, connecting Spacetime with customer hardware.
- Create and optimize Protobuf, JSON, and gRPC schemas for complex external network topologies.
- Perform RF link-budget analysis, wave-propagation modeling, and coverage simulations.
- Lead tier-3 escalation for live networks and diagnose complex system-integration issues.
- Collaborate with Product and Software Engineering to turn custom integrations into reusable product features.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals combined with physical-layer communications knowledge.
- Hands-on software development experience and readiness to pass an entry-level software engineering coding assessment.
- Experience with wireless communication systems, RF path loss, propagation, network topology, and link budgets.
- Practical experience with system or network simulation and modeling tools.
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, typically with 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Must satisfy U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to controlled information.
Nice to have
- Experience with software-defined networking, BGP, or GCP/AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience delivering high-stakes integrations for defense, aerospace, or commercial telecommunications clients.
