Location: Hybrid/on-site, with at least 4 days per week in the office in Arlington, Virginia; Mount Laurel, New Jersey; or San Diego, California. Approximately 10% travel is required. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. security clearance.
Salary: $90,000–$184,000 per year, with ranges varying by experience, skills, and education.

What you will do
- Develop test and data algorithms that reduce instrumentation streams into meaningful measures of system actions, behaviors, and outcomes.
- Translate customer and operational needs into system performance requirements, technical parameters, interfaces, and product capabilities.
- Plan, design, develop, integrate, and verify complex systems and systems-of-systems using lifecycle systems engineering practices.
- Analyze and decompose requirements, review software designs, create test cases and procedures, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Optimize system architectures and assess operational feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Work directly with customers, users, development teams, and deployment teams to resolve technical challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or another STEM field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience and knowledge of systems and software engineering practices.
- Experience with system integration, testing, verification and validation, requirements analysis, and test methodologies.
- Ability to understand system behavior from specifications and requirements and convert program requirements into viable technical solutions.
- Knowledge of the Systems Engineering V-Model and ability to communicate with customers and subject-matter experts.
- Ability to work on-site at a U.S. office at least four days per week and obtain or maintain an active Secret U.S. security clearance.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AESA or DBF radar systems, distributed kill chains, combat systems, and distributed data.
- Experience creating agentic AI workflows, using SysML or UML, or applying model-based systems engineering.
- Experience with C++, Python, MATLAB, data visualization, instrumentation, data reduction, or DOORS.
- Experience testing large, complex DoD or distributed software systems and working with Agile processes.
