Associate Survivability and Operations Analysis Engineer (Aerospace): Supporting advanced defense programs and analyzing aircraft survivability, operations, and mission systems with an accent on RF, electronic warfare, sensors, communications, and propulsion systems. Focus on modeling and simulation, cross-functional engineering collaboration, and developing analysis for technically complex aerospace programs.

Location: Remote within the United States; San Jose, California

Base pay: $70,400–$96,800 per year

What you will do

  • Support the Defense and Advanced Programs organization.
  • Contribute to incubating, marketing, capturing, and executing advanced defense programs.
  • Support technical, cost, and schedule analysis across the hirify.global Defense portfolio.
  • Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and business disciplines.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • 0–2 years of experience in aerospace or a related field.
  • BS degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics; an MS or current enrollment in further education is also relevant.
  • Foundational understanding or academic exposure to survivability technologies, including RCS, infrared, acoustics, ASE, and mission systems.
  • Basic knowledge of or interest in RF, electronic warfare/electronic attack, EOIR, acoustic systems, sensors, communications, and propulsion systems.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AFSIM or other modeling and simulation environments.
  • Experience with CAD, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysML, or DoDAF.
  • Internship or project experience with defense or government customers.
