TL;DR
Signals Engineer (Space Systems): Developing and validating mathematical models, numerical algorithms, simulations, and data-processing prototypes for GNSS, radar, RF, and other space-domain sensing systems with an accent on signal analysis, modeling, and transition into digital engineering products. Focus on detecting, estimating, tracking, and navigating complex space-system data, collaborating with engineering and data science teams, and presenting technical findings to customers and industry stakeholders.

Location: Remote for residents of specified U.S. states or the United Kingdom; Colorado Springs, Colorado preferred. Relocation support is available.

Compensation: $119,110–$198,400 per year

What you will do

  • Develop, test, and validate mathematical models, numerical algorithms, prototypes, simulations, and data-processing methods.
  • Process data from GNSS receivers, communications systems, radio-frequency systems, and other space- and ground-based sensing modalities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and Astrodynamics teams to transition research capabilities into digital engineering products.
  • Support product definition, demonstrations, customer engagement, business development, and proposal activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, journal or conference papers, and present findings at industry events.

Requirements

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or a related BS degree with 4+ years of signal-processing experience.
  • Experience with signal processing for GNSS, radar, RF, or comparable space-based and ground-segment systems.
  • Experience with statistical methods, modeling, and simulation for signal and data processing.
  • Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Kotlin, or C++, plus software version control such as Git.
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills; comfort working remotely in a rapidly moving startup environment.
  • Minimum Secret clearance required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of detection, estimation, tracking, or navigation algorithms.
  • TS/SCI eligibility.
  • Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence methods.
  • Peer-reviewed publications or experience applying these methods to space-domain applications.
