Salary: $76,200–$127,000 per year, with the range based on Pennsylvania.

What you will do

  • Identify and oversee critical suppliers to improve production execution, manufacturing efficiency, capacity, yield, throughput, and on-time delivery.
  • Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support and technical leadership to supplier organizations.
  • Conduct technical reviews, production and first-article readiness reviews, PFMEA reviews, control-plan reviews, process audits, and onsite supplier oversight.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and nonconformance disposition for manufacturing issues.
  • Coordinate supplier documentation, source inspections, audits, and regulatory or customer visits.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, quality, sourcing, supply chain, and program teams to resolve manufacturing problems and share best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a manufacturing lead role.
  • At least five years of manufacturing-environment experience, particularly in machining, fabrication welding, testing, winding, or assembly.
  • Experience with supplier site work, regulated industries, manufacturing process execution, design changes, specifications, procedures, work instructions, drawings, or routings.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T according to ASME Y14.5M, plus experience solving tight-tolerance and part-deviation issues.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience in commercial nuclear, defense, aerospace, energy, or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, or MIL-I-45208.
  • Green or Black Belt Lean Certification.
