Senior Controls Project Specialist (HVAC/BAS)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina. Hybrid role with field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations.

Salary: $56,800–$116,700 annual base salary; exception hourly compensation.

What you will do

• Commission environmental-control and building automation systems.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC and controls systems at customer locations.
• Apply knowledge of electronics, direct digital control, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, and control techniques.
• Design hardware and software for small building automation systems using engineering principles.
• Manage owner-direct and strategically important controls projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate multiple vendors, subcontractors, and field technicians.

Requirements

• Diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in engineering, HVAC, building controls, or a related field.
• Typically 10+ years of HVAC/BAS experience.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and LonTalk industrial system protocols.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computing devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions within the previous three years.
• Safety-sensitive role that may require additional drug screening.
