ACES Building Automation Controls Specialist (HVAC)

Location: Anywhere in the Continental United States; field-based work is conducted on-site at customer locations. The role requires 75% or more travel, typically within the United States, with occasional international travel.

Annual base salary: $105,228.33–$146,720.00.

What you will do

• Configure, program, check out, and commission complex building automation systems.
• Validate hardware and software designs and apply engineering principles to assigned projects.
• Review and maintain installation and programming standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Trane controls and support new, existing, and legacy products and systems.
• Advise and guide field technicians, engineers, subcontractors, project managers, and controls specialists.
• Provide remote connected support and collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of HVAC industry experience as a Controls Technician or Controls Project Specialist preferred.
• Proficiency in HVAC systems, building automation systems, and/or temperature controls.
• Experience programming, commissioning, and starting up Trane control systems preferred.
• A 2+ year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Automation Systems, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Ability to travel 75% or more and work safely in physically demanding field environments across the United States.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Automated Logic, Distech, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium/Niagara-based control systems.
