Unit Controls Technical Lead (HVAC)

Location: Clarksville, Tennessee, United States. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays based on work requirements.

Annual base salary: $89,585–$124,950.

What you will do

• Lead functional product development for new and enhanced HVAC controls products and features.
• Design and evaluate engineering products in collaboration with equipment mechanical engineers.
• Generate functional specifications for software engineers and lead technical design activities.
• Serve as the controls technical engineering core team member on cross-functional projects.
• Define technical requirements while considering engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, regulatory objectives, and customer demand.
• Apply knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, HMI, communication protocols, network architectures, and distributed systems.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience supporting engineering product development.
• Experience leading or participating in an embedded software or enterprise software development project.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and components, control systems, instrumentation, HMI, communication networks, and distributed networked systems.
• Experience with requirements management tools and strong leadership, planning, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Good verbal and technical written English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DFSS techniques.
• INCOSE certification.
