Product Manager (Property Assessment and Taxation)

Location: Remote - Texas, U.S.

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Define product vision, roadmap, priorities, release scope, and delivery plans for assigned functional areas.
• Gather and analyze customer, legislative, policy, regulatory, and business-process requirements.
• Translate jurisdictional rules and complex calculations into configurable, auditable system functionality and functional designs.
• Manage the product backlog, refinement, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Guide engineering, QA, implementation, customer-facing, sales, and pre-sales teams through delivery, demonstrations, RFP/RFI responses, and issue resolution.
• Use AI-enabled tools to streamline product workflows, improve analysis, and strengthen customer-facing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or a related enterprise software role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, prioritization, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience designing complex calculations or rules-based systems and translating legislation, policy, or regulatory requirements into software functionality.
• Experience authoring functional designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with property tax, financial, government, public-sector, or other regulated-industry systems.
• Familiarity with configurable platforms, rules engines, or business-process-driven applications.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, SQL, reporting and analytics tools, or AI-enabled product workflows.
