Senior Product Manager, APIs

Base salary: $59,900–$168,500 per year, depending on role, level, location, skills, experience, training, business needs, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Own the API-focused product area and its complete customer and internal-team experience.
• Partner with engineering leads and staff engineers on architecture, design quality, and technical direction.
• Build, debug, and ship functional code and prototypes to validate ideas and reduce technical uncertainty.
• Design API contracts, guide versioning and backward compatibility, and improve the developer experience for integrators.
• Investigate real operational workflows with payroll and tax specialists, identify root causes, and prioritize product improvements.
• Drive adoption and hypercare after delivery while documenting product decisions and reasoning.

Requirements

• Senior-level product management experience in a high-growth company.
• Proficiency with Cursor and/or Claude Code, including the ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code or prototypes.
• Experience in payroll, HR, benefits, fintech, or a similar domain.
• Strong strategic and tactical product judgment, UX sense, and evidence of independently driving product results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Business-level English proficiency is required.
