TL;DR
Mechanical Designer (HVAC): Designing components, assemblies, enclosures, and documentation for commercial HVAC control products with an accent on Creo-based CAD modeling, PLM, and sustainable product development. Focus on translating engineering requirements into 2D and 3D designs, managing change control, and solving complex technical problems across cross-functional teams.

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays based on work requirements.

Annual base salary range: $63,111.66–$87,639.99. Compensation type: hourly.

What you will do

  • Design electronic components, parts, assemblies, and enclosures for commercial HVAC control products using Creo.
  • Create 2D and 3D engineering drawings, CAD models, product documentation, and supporting records.
  • Support PLM change control processes and manage documentation across multiple systems.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, PCB designers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams to preserve design intent.
  • Translate written and verbal requirements into CAD drawings and models while supporting multiple concurrent projects.
  • Apply drafting standards, engineering methods, safety procedures, and common engineering computations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Drafting, or a related engineering field, or 4+ years of relevant computer-aided design experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or ProEngineer.
  • Experience with CAD design and drafting practices, including 2D and 3D engineering drawings and assemblies.
  • Ability to prioritize work across multiple concurrent projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work onsite in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Monday through Thursday.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PLM systems such as Windchill or TeamCenter.
  • Experience with schematic capture systems such as Altium.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator.
