Experienced Design Engineer (HVACR)

Location: Sidney, OH, USA. Onsite position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Develop and document component and assembly specifications, including geometry, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Create, verify, and maintain CAD/CAE models, engineering drawings, design layouts, bills of materials, specifications, and technical records.
• Perform mechanical design analysis covering static and dynamic behavior, strength of materials, material selection, design optimization, and engineering calculations.
• Validate component fit-up and design intent through CAD reviews and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Support engineering labs, manufacturing, supplier quality, procurement, and advanced manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with global engineering facilities and check project drawing packages for consistency and design intent.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 2–5 years of related drafting and mechanical design experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with parametric, feature-based CAD modeling, including part, assembly, and kinematics modeling.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing and assembly processes, component costs, and production design considerations.
• Drafting experience using industry standards, including ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience.
• Experience with manufacturing, fabrication, and forming processes.
• Knowledge of DFMA, production design techniques, gauging practices, and quality control processes.
