Senior Institutional Services Automation Quality Control Analyst (Payments)

M&T Bank’s Wilmington Trust Institutional Services division is expanding its continuous improvement and digital transformation programs for trust and agency service products.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Translate product requirements and acceptance criteria into comprehensive functional and non-functional test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support efficient execution throughout the development lifecycle.
• Report defects, verify fixes, perform root-cause analysis, and assist developers with debugging.
• Prepare test data and environments, maintain automation documentation, and report feature-level test coverage.
• Support production validation and the ongoing stability of Money Movement and Fees capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus at least 2 years of software quality assurance and control experience; alternatively, 6 years of combined higher education and work experience including 2 years in software QA and control.
• Experience creating and maintaining test scripts for desktop, web, API, or web services testing.
• Strong programming skills in one or more relevant languages.
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies, Agile development, DevOps practices, and defect tracking systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in Wilmington, Delaware, United States of America.

Nice to have

• At least 7 years of software quality assurance and control experience.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications and APIs, as well as performance, load, or security testing.
• Deep expertise in payment processing, including orchestration, authentication, authorization, clearing, settlement, idempotency, and exception management.
• Knowledge of payment risk, fraud management, operational controls, resiliency, and auditability.
• ISTQB or similar QA certification and exposure to fintech platforms, emerging technologies, and AI-assisted testing.
