Enterprise Solution Architect (Cloud)

Location: Alexandria, Virginia, United States; hybrid position

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect scalable, secure, and resilient IT solutions across on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
• Align solution architectures with government leadership priorities, mission needs, budgets, and security requirements.
• Lead technical scoping sessions and evaluate technologies and architectural options.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, DISA STIGs, and Zero Trust principles.
• Drive automation initiatives using infrastructure and delivery tooling to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, program management, and government stakeholders; produce roadmaps, technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and system concepts.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in enterprise IT architecture, preferably in federal or DoD environments.
• High school education with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, or a vendor-specific identity certification.
• Experience with on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms, including VMware, Azure, or AWS.
• Understanding of NIST, RMF, STIG compliance, automation tools, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and technical stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, CISSP, or other DoD 8570-compliant certifications.
• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Homeland Security identity management programs.
• Experience working with government leadership or senior military officials.
• Background in systems engineering or software development.
• Experience creating architectural models that show how products, operations, and systems interoperate.
