Managing Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Cloud)

Location: Onsite in Irvine, California. The posting also references Santa Clara and San Francisco.

Salary: $94,248–$215,050 base compensation annually.

What you will do

• Define enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategy across GCP, Azure, AWS, on-premises, and edge environments.
• Advise client technology leaders in a CTO-style capacity and translate business priorities into architecture roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
• Create reference architectures, standards, governance guardrails, reusable modules, architecture reviews, and project intake artifacts.
• Align application modernization, security, identity, networking, data protection, compliance, platform engineering, and operational resilience requirements.
• Lead architectural response during major incidents, root-cause investigations, technology evaluations, and corrective-action planning.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code, automation, CI/CD, platform engineering, FinOps, observability, and cloud cost governance practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, enterprise architecture, or technology transformation, including 5+ years in senior or lead architecture roles.
• Expert hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably GCP, plus strong knowledge of Azure and AWS.
• Experience defining cloud strategy, target-state and reference architectures, governance standards, landing zones, migrations, modernization, and operational readiness.
• Strong knowledge of secure cloud architecture, including IAM, zero trust, network security, encryption, key management, secrets management, vulnerability management, and compliance.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Pulumi, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in Irvine, California and represent hirify.global with client leadership.

Nice to have

• Cloud architect certifications from Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or comparable providers.
• Experience with Cloud Centers of Excellence, architecture review boards, Design Authority models, or enterprise governance.
• Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, microservices, API management, serverless, event-driven architecture, and platform engineering.
• Experience with FinOps, cloud security architecture, CSPM/CWPP, SIEM, SASE/SSE, observability, AIOps, SRE, resilience engineering, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, ITIL, NIST, CSA CCM, Well-Architected frameworks, or similar standards.
