Operations Manager, Signal Systems

Location: Remote U.S.

Salary: $176K–$207K annual base pay, plus equity, medical benefits, 401(k), and other company perks.

What you will do

• Bring new signal sources online from discovery and scoping through ingestion, standardization, and live operation.
• Identify failure modes such as stale, duplicated, or unreliable information and build mitigation systems at the ingestion point.
• Work with teams that produce and consume signals to understand their meaning and build useful source-system integrations.
• Replace manual diligence with engineering solutions, including derived fields, source-system extraction, and write-time validation.
• Build pipelines, internal tools, prototypes, agents, or other working systems while helping teammates grow their technical capabilities.
• Partner with inference and systems layers to make data queryable, trustworthy, and ready for further development.

Requirements

• Ability to identify data-source failure modes, schema limitations, duplication, and staleness.
• Recent hands-on experience shipping a working pipeline, internal tool, prototype, or agent, with the ability to explain and defend implementation choices.
• Experience building with Claude, an LLM API, or agentic tooling, including diagnosing failures and implementing solutions.
• Ability to work directly with data producers and consumers and adapt solutions based on the meaning and use of the information.
• No computer science degree or formal engineering tenure is required; demonstrated ability to ship effectively with AI-assisted tooling is sufficient.
• Must be based in the United States.
