Accounts Receivable Lead (AI)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States, or San Francisco, California, United States. Individuals are expected to work from the office 3+ days a week. A relocation stipend may be available for relocation to a hirify.global hub location.

Salary: $133,000–$156,000 USD annually in San Francisco, or $112,000–$132,000 USD annually in Denver.

What you will do

• Own the monthly AR close, including subledger-to-general-ledger tie-outs, cash application, aging roll-forwards, journal entries, and flux analysis.
• Manage credit-loss allowances, reconciliations, payment processor activity, refunds, chargebacks, reserves, and unapplied cash resolution.
• Design and operate AR controls, review procedures, SOX 404 readiness, audit support, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead collections, dispute resolution, escalation paths, and reduction of stale balances across internal and offshore or BPO teams.
• Build and mentor the AR team, publish KPIs and dashboards, and establish knowledge-transfer and backup coverage.
• Implement scalable automation using Excel, SQL, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar tools, partnering with Billing, Revenue Accounting, Data Engineering, Sales Ops, Legal, and Product.

Requirements

• 8+ years of accounting experience with substantial ownership of receivables, billing, or the order-to-cash cycle, including 2–3 years in a lead or manager capacity.
• Experience owning monthly close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, flux analysis, and documented review of work prepared by others.
• Experience managing offshore or BPO accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX controls, audit readiness, and AR accounting operations.
• Strong systems mindset and hands-on experience with finance or data tools; Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, Alteryx, or Snowflake experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in AR or finance-operations automation and process transformation, with strong cross-functional communication skills.
