Production Line Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Massachusetts, United States; weekend night shift, Friday–Sunday, 6:00 pm–6:30 am.

Salary: $75,800–$113,750 annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation and shift differential pay.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Technicians and Material Handlers on a highly automated production line.
• Monitor operational performance, product quality, staffing, timekeeping, training, and performance reviews.
• Train technicians to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment using robotics, laser welding, heat staking, PCB handling and testing, and mechanical swaging.
• Use HMIs and manufacturing instrumentation to identify process-control shifts, equipment faults, safety issues, and operating inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on preventative maintenance, validation protocols, corrective actions, and training improvements.
• Maintain production documentation, work instructions, equipment records, material inventory, GMP compliance, and cleanroom standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience and 1 year of direct management experience.
• Proficient English required for reading documentation, communication, and writing.
• Mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting ability, leadership skills, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, stand for at least 80% of each shift, walk for at least 50%, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced medical device manufacturing and cleanroom environment.

Nice to have

• Experience operating, debugging, or maintaining highly automated discrete component assembly equipment.
• Experience with laser welding, heat staking, ultrasonic welding, ESD-sensitive devices, HMIs, or manufacturing instrumentation.
• Experience in a startup production environment.
