Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Flexible hybrid work in Austin, Texas, or Reston, Virginia, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.

What you will do

• Build and ship high-quality, production-ready features for AI products, agents, and developer tools.
• Design and refine scalable, performant, and reliable applications and services.
• Make technical decisions and help establish engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, Product, QA, and business partners on practical solutions.
• Break down abstract ideas into well-defined engineering work.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Python, Postgres or a similar relational database, RESTful API design or FastAPI, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, testing and test-driven development, and Kafka or similar streaming or queueing technologies.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, and Git, plus strong collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• U.S. work authorization or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations is required.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• Experience using AI technologies, large language models, and agents to improve workflows.
