Senior Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; onsite five days per week

Annual OTE: $170,000–$260,000 USD

What you will do

• Design scalable control planes and data primitives for hirify.global products.
• Build distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices worldwide.
• Launch new services within a microservices architecture.
• Scale authentication, user, role, and audit capabilities for enterprise customers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building and scaling access systems for millions of users.
• Mastery of at least one of Python or Go.
• Experience with relational databases, key-value storage, distributed queues, caching, cloud providers, React, gRPC, and API specifications.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.
