Director, Merchant Launch Operations

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States; requires 25–35% travel for multi-site engagement and on-site project leadership.

What you will do

• Design and operationalize the Operations Continuous Improvement function, including intake processes, project governance, reporting cadence, and a prioritized improvement backlog.
• Hire, develop, lead, mentor, and coach Operations Continuous Improvement managers across the fulfillment network.
• Own performance-improvement projects across fulfillment operations, merchant onboarding, compliance programs, and cross-functional domains.
• Plan, execute, and oversee merchant launches, including merchant and SKU analysis, operational requirements, launch metrics, and issue resolution.
• Build workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools using Asana, Slack, Salesforce, Google applications, and analytics platforms.
• Lead change-management initiatives, CI training, new service-offering implementation, and on-site support for operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in ecommerce fulfillment operations, inventory management, and process optimization, including 3 years managing operations programs and projects.
• Proven leadership and team-management experience with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with Excel, Google Sheets, Metabase, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and translating WMS capabilities into operational processes.
• Ability to travel 25–35% for multi-site engagement and on-site project leadership.

Nice to have

• Lean program leadership experience or Lean certification.
• Experience in wholesale or B2B fulfillment.
