Operations Director (Manufacturing)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; onsite leadership of Cambridge operations.

hirify.global’s Digital Printing Solutions division develops wide-format inkjet printers, inks, workflow software, and industrial decorative printing solutions.

What you will do

• Lead production, product quality, materials management, stores, logistics, and supply chain operations for the Cambridge facility.
• Plan production and material schedules, direct resources, and deliver equipment and projects on time, within cost, quality, and safety requirements.
• Design and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies across products, processes, and site operations.
• Manage procurement, supplier reviews, local negotiations, subcontracting, outsourcing, and inventory working capital.
• Support product development operations, engineering projects, new product introduction, production bills of materials, and transitions from development to full production.
• Set operational objectives and KPIs, report performance, and collaborate with R&D, global supply chain, finance, suppliers, subcontractors, and other hirify.global sites.

Requirements

• 10+ years of operations leadership experience in printing, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or related sectors.
• Experience with production processes, quality control, cost management, modern manufacturing principles, subcontracting, outsourcing, and materials management.
• Knowledge of safety standards and electrical principles.
• Strong commercial, financial, analytical, critical-thinking, change-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on leadership experience in complex manufacturing environments and the ability to work in a global, multicultural organization.
• Willingness to travel to support international production and supply chain transitions.
